چکیده

Blackberry (Rubus ulmifolius Scott) is an economically important crop in Mexico. Eriophyoidea mites are among the most arthropod pests affecting production of this worldwide. Despite this, reports on species diversity blackberry Mexico scarce. We sampled six orchards from two municipalities state Michoacan, region for production. Sampling was carried out monthly between May and November 2018. Only one eriophyoid mite found, Diptacus rubuscolum Trinidad, Duarte Navia. conducted a detailed morphological study complementary description presented. In addition, we obtained partial sequences mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase subunit I (mt COI), 18S 28S rRNA. The duration each developmental stage determined under controlled conditions (25 °C, 60% RH 12:12 light regime). confirmed identity D. by comparing D2 within rRNA our samples retrieved GenBank. Overall, characteristics were line with type specimens. However, some differences body shape empodium structure pointed out. stages egg, larva, nymphochrysalis, nymph, imagochrysalis adult, mean 75 (±10), 56 (±9), 21 (±7), 41 (±8), 19 (±6) 114 (±12) hours respectively. information produced provides insight knowledge occurrence as well original biological aspects.
